Stem the Tide (2023)

Stem The Tide was shot in 2022 following Irish fishermens’ threat to physically block and protest Russian naval drills on the edge of Irish waters, days before the invasion of Ukraine. But when we got there, they wanted to talk about anything but Russia, for the people protecting their community and livelihood from collapse, that protest was just another day at the office.

The film, then, is a snapshot of a rural life that’s heavily politicised and policed.

It is currently in consideration for several festivals and we look forward to screening it again later this year.
